About The Vedic Mission.

Maharshi Dyanand Vedic Mission is a unit of Bihar Rajya Arya Pratinidhi Sabha. D.A.V. Movement founded in 1885 by Lala lajpat Raj has grown today as the largest Non-Government educational Organisation in the Country, managing over 700 educational institution in different parts of the country and abroad. D.A.V. institutions have rendered a Unique service, in not only dispelling ignorance and illiteracy but also in producing patriots, freedom-fighter, social reformers, intellectuals, thinkers, legal luminaries, scientists, doctors and engineers of unparalleled merit, integrity and caliber.

D.A.V. school is another glorious link in the prospering chain of D.A.V. Due to its value-based education and quality teaching methods added by the latest techniques, these schools provide a very enlightening learing environment . we are sure that this new addition to the D.A.V. chain will also prove a seat of learning. The D.A.V. School here follows the syllabus of CBSE, Delhi with the goodwill and co-operation of the local intelligentsia under the able guidance and leadership of the principle and a devoted team of experienced teachers.

Aims:

The DAV SCHOOL Provides a congenial environment for the all round development of the student And their integration with the society, particularly with reference to the Indian context. Positive ideas And value are inculcated in the students regarding their personal hygiene, neatness of uniform, Cleanliness of surrounding, graceful manners; obedience and discipline.   • To appreciate our own heritage and culture and understand it in a wider global context.
  • To learn about situations which go far beyond the text book, and link different disciplines and languages.
  • To develop confidence in one's own ability and feel secure that their learning will surpass all boundaries and restrictions.
  • To sensitize children so that they may be more compassionate towards all sentient beings.
  • To increase staff capability towards international understanding.

Objectives:

  • To seize every opportunity for our students to travel and meet people from varied backgrounds and cultures.
  • To expose the staff members to the international dimension of learning.
  • To initiate a process of sharing of all activities through discussions and displays.
  • To expose the students to a range of international cuisine.

Message of the Chairman :

I deem it a great privilege from its inception. I am extremely happy that the ‘management’ has taken–up the cause of purposeful, quality-based School education taking into consideration the significant early childhood care in in developing a sensible adolescent, supposed to be a responsible citizen of the Indian democracy, tomorrow. With this academic ambition, in the FIRST PHASE, we have started our learning – journey from K.G. standard to class Vth; subsequently to enhance further towards 10+2 School Structure within two subsequent academic calendar in accordance with the C.B.S.E. curriculum.

In all the four familiar areas of the school curriculum, i.e. Language, Mathematics, Science and Social Science, effective step are more relevant today. Educationists recommend the softening of subject boundaries so that children can get a taste of integrated knowledge and joy of understanding:-

  • The multilingual character of Indian society and the professional requirements on account of the globalisation today, instigate us to promote proficiency in Mother tongue, National Language and English as well.
  • The teaching of Mathematics needs motivating children to think and reason; to visiualise and handle obstruction; and to formulate and solve problems.
  • The reading of Science is to be made meaningful so that it enables children to examine and analyze everyday experiences.
  • In the Social sciences conscious efforts are to be undertaken for connecting bookish knowledge to life outside the school i.e. the Community.

With these few pedagogic considerations I feel it seriously that teaching should aim at enhancing children’s natural desire and strategies to learn knowledge needs to be distinguished from information and teaching need to be designed as a child-centered, professional activity; not as coaching simply for memorisation or as transmission of facts. Undoubtedly activity is the heart of the child’s attempt to make used of his/her experiences. These salient foundations and our academic understanding, our well educated Principal, dedicated staff and focus on each and every child would ensure undoubted success at each stage on the learning journey right from K.G. Onwards with Vedic vision.

The laurels achieved by our students have added a new leaf to the grandeur of the school. It is exciting to know that the school has made tremendous progress in achieving the Vision of its founders of providing value based quality education to children from all sections of the society. It is a matter of great pride that in achieving this Vision, the school practices high moral values and ethics. State-of-the-art infrastructure and resources are provided to the faculty and the students in order to maintain over all standards of education without any compromise, thus providing vibrant and holistic education that promote excellence. New teaching methodologies with extensive use of IT are implemented raise the bar of quality education in the school. A holistic development of the children is taking place, which is evident from the performance and results that have been achieved so far. D.A.V. School today is emerging as a dynamic educational centre of international repute and recognition. It is in fact one of the best schools in India with the superior infrastructural Facilities and the innovative and quality teaching-learning methods it has evolved.

The current progress of the Mission and Schools under the dynamic leadership of the Principals and members are commendable and it is hoped that it would achieve new heights of glory and success while ensuring all round development of the children and society. I congratulate and extend my best wishes to the Members, Principals, Faculties, Staffs, Parents and the Students who have contributed wholeheartedly to take this mission to a new pedestal of fame and glory in educational arena.

At the heart of human development is education and learning by experience. Each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. As educator, we tought to provide students with an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas to meet their fullest potential in these areas.

Students need to develop a deep love and respect for themselves, others, and their environment occurs through an open sharing of ideas and a judicious approach to discipline. When the voice of each student is heard, environment evolves where students feel free to express themselves.

It is an age of liberalization, globalization and privatization where in the world is rising appropriately in a charismatic manner. One must be proficient to weigh up in a conventionalized approach and execute the desired task resourcefully. The most affluent relations become prominent by way of stuffing after boosting planning into action.

The DAV basically aims at quality education and on all sides of maturity of student's persona providing hassle free surroundings for overall development, in terms of performance in the different disciplines of activities that the institution always discharges to them.

The institution is heightened enough to impart education with a combination of the present and the straight using the educational technology, computer education, visual aids laying great emphasis on high-quality turn out, obedience and setting a standard of individual achievement for ethical and societal virtues. DAV stand in passing on the skills through excellence education in various streams has surfaced productively & successfully. The institution has been able to shape its students in bonafide learning that acclaims endowment, discipline and tutoring amid its students.
